Every time the Gospel is taught GOD is glorified.

Society was upset by current events.
              ├─> One was an act of evil.
                      └─> One was a calmity of nature.

 ... if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, ...
~ Romans 15:25-27

~ There was a famine for the early Christians in Jerusalem,
a shortage of supplies existed where the truth originated.
Seeds of the gospel were planted and material retributions were made.

In parallel, just because we are a God fearing nation
does not necessarily guarantee calamities will not befall us
and that it can only happen to heathen countries.

... worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?
~ Luke 13:2

... Are we better than they? Not at all. ... ~ Romans 3:9

Purely, we must seek His mercy,
Not judging by acts done to individuals or places.

The implosion of a society can come
without an earthquake or hurricane.

... And He changes the times and the seasons; ... ~ Daniel 2:20-23

God never wanted us to think that we would be able
to protect against or prevent calamities.

"But he who endures to the end shall be saved." ~ Matthew 24:13

... as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, ... ~ Galatians 6:10

... God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved ... ~ 1st Timothy 2:1-4

This is bigger than any president, governor, or mayor.

... having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
~ 1st Timothy 6:7-8

... and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; ... ~ 1st Corinthians 10:6-13

Praying is getting God to do what He can do.
→ Praying can do more and is better than dialing 911.
God's permanence resides over all that is temporary.

... your life? ... a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes ...
~ James 4:13-17

1. God Controls
2. Physical calamities will occur
          ↗emphasizes spiritual
3. Fill your he♥rt in Prayer
4. Vapor = Mortal Life

But concerning the times and the seasons, ... ~ 1st Thessalonians 5:1-8

... breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
~ 1st Thessalonians 5:8

Calamity has never hurt the word of Jesus.
~ If we have to stay, we can endure and are called to do so.
As Christians, we must join together of one mind and body in Christ.

... heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended ...
~ James 5:11

~ Job stood with God and has become the marquee of patience.

... God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring ...
~ Jonah 3:10

God has mercy on those that repent.

... for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. ~ Galatians 6:9

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. ...
~ 2nd Timothy 2:1-3

Let us declare that the liGht of God is in us.
