7/10/2005 ~ Why we Don't Have Women Preachers


Along with no denominations called for in the Bible,
~ there is also no mortal 2nd chance millenium.

The Bible also does not instruct us to have women preachers.
Churches with women preachers do not properly follow the gospel.

... that the word of God may not be blasphemed. ... ~ Titus 2:1-6

... He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, ...
~ Ephesians 4:11

Older women should teach younger women.

... For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ...
~ Titus 2:9-12

- In the general assembly, mixed audiences,
→ men need to do the preaching.

It is not because women are inferior,
Not because they know the Bible better or less,
Not because the are less capable.

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ...
~ Galatians 3:27-29

The same gospel is for all.

Above all, God placed man, not women, in a position of authority.

... the head of every man is Christ, the head of every woman is man, ...

... All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on the earth. ...
~ Matthew 28:16-20

... hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
~ 2nd Thessalonians 2:15

... they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, ... ~ Romans 1:28

Man, not God, has placed women in authority.

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. ... ~ Ephesians 5:22-29

... that even if some do not obey the word, ... ~ 1st Peter 3:1-7

Man is to be over women generally.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: ...
~ 1st Timothy 3:16

Men are to be leaders in the church.

... holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, ... ~ Titus 1:5-9

You have to pollute God's word if women are to be church authorities.

... Likewise, their wives must be reverent, ... ~ 1st Timothy 3:8-13

Preachers were all men in the Bible
Peter and the apostles preached

Jesus preached beyond the law of Moses

Paul preached in Athens

Stephen preached

Philip gave instruction
... ~ Acts 2:14

... ~ Acts 13:38-39

... ~ Acts 17:16-17

... ~ Acts 6:8

... ~ Acts 8:30-31

There were no women apostles or preachers.

Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. ... ~ 1st Timothy 2:11-14

I desire therefore that men pray everywhere, ... ~ 1st Timothy 2:8

God made man first and then women.

... and He brought her to the man. ... ~ Genesis 2:22-24

                                                ┌─> Eve was tempted, she fell first.
... Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die."
~ Genesis 3:2-4

Let your women keep silent in the churches, ... ~ 1st Corinthians 14:34
└─> It is what God requires.

This is not meant to downgrade women,
but the Lord God has demanded this pattern of obedience.

... singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.~ Ephesians 5:19

... singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. ~ Colossians 3:16

Everyone is called to sing and to make your heart known.

To love God is to obey and practice His word.
