For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. ~ 2nd Corinthians 5:21 In Prophecy ↓ "... between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." ~ Genesis 3:15 Jesus would knock unending truth on Satan's head. "... in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." ~ Genesis 12:3 Continued prophecy comes on down through the New Testament. ... a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (Literally God-With-Us). ~ Isaiah 7:14 ~ In Fulfillment ↓ "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." ~ Matthew 1:23 "In Type" ↓ '... it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.' ~ Leviticus 17:11 ... without shedding of blood there is no remission. ~ Hebrews 9:22 ... behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, ... ~ Hebrews 9:1-5 The Need ↓ ... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ... ~ Romans 3:23 ... Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. ~ Galatians 3:22 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin. ~ Ecclesiastes 7:20 The Cost ↓ "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son, ..." ~ John 3:16 ... Progress Forward ↓ ... "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on the earth. ... I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. ~ Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus is reigning today at the right hand of God. Execution ↓ ... "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; ..." ~ Acts 2:36-38 └─> First time salvation for man was offered. ~ To believers: Repent and be baptized. └─> Keys of the kingdom. Faith, repentance, and immersion for the remission of sins. "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, ... ~ Matthew 16:19 ... continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. ~ Acts 2:42
... the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, ... ~ Acts 20:7 Steadfast in the Apostles doctrine. ... not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, ... ~ Hebrews 10:25 └─> Paul admonished disciples that were loosing their faith. There is a provision for forgiveness when we sin after believing and being baptized. "Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you." ~ Acts 8:22 ┌─> Change of mind. REPENT └─> Change of Action. "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, ..." ~ Matthew 3:8 We must continually repent of our wrongs and this takes time. In Practice ↓ ... do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, ... ~ Romans 12:1-2 → Move toward the light. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ ... ~ 1st John 1:7-10
~ To walk in the newness of life. The Result ↓ ... "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. ~ John 14:1-6 ... we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal ... ~ 2nd Corinthians 5:1-4 It is a release to trust God. "... in the age to come, eternal life." ~ Mark 10:28-30 Does eternal life appeal to you? Do you want the remission of sins? Are you willing to be a living sacrifice? ... let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. ... ~ Revelation 22:17 Do you really want Christ?
