All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction, ... ~ 2nd Timothy 3:16.17

For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may
put to silence the ignorance of foolish men ... ~ 1st Peter 2:15-16

... For anger rests in the bosom of fools. ~ Ecclesiastes 7:9

1. The Silence of God is Not Permission

God wanted Cain to know what he did.

... "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? ~ Genesis 4:6

... "Where is Abel your brother?" ~ Genesis 4:9-10

God wanted Cain to show humble remorse.

When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.
~ Proverbs 11:2

                         Learn from my brothers mistakes. <─┐
God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.
... ~ Hebrews 11:4

If you love God’s word, His guidance will come to you.

... My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. ...
~ Isaiah 55:8-10

No one can appreciate the totality that is God

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ
does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ
has both the Father and the Son. ~ 2nd John 1:9

God clearly wants all to come to Him through Christ.
He calls us to obey His simple word and not the ramblings of men.

"You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, ..."
~ John 4:22

Our One True Living God
wants all to come back to Him through His word.

... the foolishness of God is wiser than men, ... ~ 1st Corinthians 1:18-25

... but as it is in truth, the word of God, ... ~ 1st Thessalonians 2:13

 ┌─> The Bible clearly points out that there is only one faith. 
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
~ Romans 10:17

... one Lord, one faith, one baptism; ... ~ Ephesians 4:5

To know the truth, counterfeit doctrines will be recognized.
→ Did God ask for it or give an instruction or example?
God runs the show, not man.
Would you dare deny the God of the Bible and His delivered word? 
● Cain denied God and chose his own way leading to destruction.

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.
~ Proverbs 16:18

... And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil
and his brother's righteous. ~ 1st John 3:10-12

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way ...
~ Proverbs 8:13

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. ~ Hebrews 10:31

... If anyone adds to these things, ... if anyone takes away from the words
of the book ... God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, ...
~ Revelation 22:18-19

2. Sin is Progressive                              

"If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well,
sin lies at the door. ..." ~ Genesis 4:7
└─> Cain made a mistake,                      
                         └─> assumed his offering would make God happy,
                                            └─> God asked him to come back.

"... And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it." ~ Genesis 4:7

Went from pride to jealousy to lying = SIN

... A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, ...
~ Proverbs 6:16-19

Stop your sin so the progression will not deepen.
└─> Nip it in the bud.               

Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" ... ~ Genesis 4:9

Sin is to deny the truth from yourself.

      Do not let sin rise and overwhelm your life. <─┐
Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the
whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, ... ~ 1st Corinthians 5:6-7

It can be hard to have an open humble vigilant heart.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about
like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. ~ 1st Peter 5:8

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come, ... ~ Ecclesiastes 12:1

3. Generation Will Be Affected              

Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt
in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. ... ~ Genesis 4:16-22
         └─> Cain’s genealogy does not lead to God.

┌─> No further account for Cain’s lineage is given.    ┌─> Brings about a dead end.  
... Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have killed a man for wounding me, ...
~ Genesis 4:23-24
Lamech boasted in his sin.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Romans 6:23

"Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as
the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die." ~ Ezekiel 18:4

... get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, ...
~ Ezekiel 18:20-32

Desire Life in the light of God.

... when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you,
which dwelt first in your grandmother ... ~ 2nd Timothy 1:5

→ Generations will be affected, for good and or bad.
~ We need to think beyond ourselves ~
└─> Do you love God more than your own soul? <─┘
● Our example touches all those after us. ○
What will be the consequence of our actions?
                     We need to choose wisely. <─┘

4. God Offers All Men a Second Chance!

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this
is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. ~ 1st John 5:4

God offers a second chance to turn from sin.

... although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were
thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, ... ~ Romans 1:20-32

Gentiles are sinners.
↓
... "the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you," ...
~ Romans 2:17-24

Jews are sinners.
↓
... previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
~ Romans 3:9

All are Sinners.

... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ... ~ Romans 3:23

... just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life. ... ~ Romans 6:3-6

You, who sin, come back to My way and I will cover you with my Son;
○ buried in His death you will find life.

... without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope
in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God ... ~ 1st Thessalonians 1:3

Give God what He asks for.
