8/27/2006 ~ The Value of Man's Wisdom


... preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ
should be made of no effect. ~ 1st Corinthians 1:11-17

Our call should be after Jesus Christ and not any particular man.
All of our associations should be above the petty.
Do we care or have contempt?

A church or preacher does not make your relationship with God.
YOU DO!

The power is in the message and not the messenger.
~ There is no other word of God than what has been given.

... Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? ...
~ 1st Corinthians 1:18-25

Men have constructed conclusions that may not align with God.
With a church on every corner or block,
beware if we do not submit to God under God.
One needs to pursue that of God as a precious prize.

... Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
~ Luke 2:49-52

And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom;
and the grace of God was upon Him. ~ Luke 2:40

We are called to grow in our relationship with God.
It is a path to obtain the truth with God and other humans.

... He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory
of our Lord Jesus Christ. ... ~ 2nd Thessalonians 2:13-15

                              ┌─> We are smarter than fish and over all other living intelligence.
... dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over ...
~ Genesis 1:26-28

The will of man has taken precedence.

... Give an account of your stewardship, ... ~ Luke 16:1-2

... the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than
the sons of light. ... ~ Luke 16:3-10

Savvy people are shrewd and make money well.
~ Jesus tells us to be savvy.
It is a battle to work with evil.

"... Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." ~ Matthew 10:16

We need to use our experience to best suit us.
Education has value in increasing competence.

... "He who glories, let him glory in the Lord." ~ 1st Corinthians 1:26-31

It is not about what we do for ourselves.

... lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, My own hand
has saved me. ~ Judges 7:2

It is greater than any hand of man.

And the LORD said to Joshua: "See! I have given Jerico into your hand, ..."
~ Joshua 6:2-5

It is not about the brilliance of man but God.

... your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
~ 1st Corinthians 2:1-5

Do you blow your horn or confess your short-comings?
~ Paul exposed his weakness in awe of God,
and promoting God was paramount.
● Paul most probably would be unemployable
by today’s electronic standards.

The most wanted by God can be the most undesirable by world standards.

We need to contemplate God and Christ through eternity
and not exalt any individual or so called expert.
If one just analyzes and dissects the word of God,
confusion will be the only result.

... the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation
for everyone who believes, ... ~ Romans 1:16

Is it faith in the power of men OR faith in the power of the Gospel?
~ There is a wisdom that transcends beyond man.
We have all been given to Christ.

... able to comprehend with all the saints ... to know the love of Christ
which passes knowledge; ... ~ Ephesians 3:18-19

... But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. ...
~ 1st Corinthians 2:6-12

God holds the secrets of creation not man.
~ Most sold book but least read = The Bible

... the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. ...
~ 1st Corinthians 3:18-23

The focus is not to be a stranger of God.
→ The focus is God.
