10/26/2008 ~ Not Remember Jesus?

... when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord's Supper.
... ~ 1st Corinthians 11:17-26

Have we just become so casual about God and His will?
He is and was serious, are we?

"... For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many
for the remission of sins." ~ Matthew 26:26-28

It means to drink and eat of all of Him, either while wake or sleep.
Live to Him.

... For we, though many, are one bread and one body;
for we all partake of that one bread. ~ 1st Corinthians 10:15-17

COMMUNE
SHARE

I share in what Christ is ~ and all that He is.
Eternity will end or begin for a soul in regards to if you do or not …

"... one will be taken and the other left." ~ Luke 17:34-36

... "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." ...
~ Luke 22:14-20

~
Do we care about Him?
To remember Him, we need to read about it.
~ Are we shallow on the Lord’s word?

... eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will
be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. ... ~ 1st Corinthians 11:27-34

Many do not remember the Lord
when partaking in the Lord’s Supper, making us unworthy.
~ Fix yourself and make peace so that you may commune with Christ.
Open your heart freely to God.

"And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors." ~ Matthew 6:12

"... First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
~ Matthew 5:23-24

Take Pause to Remember:
  HIS LIFE
      HIS DEATH

It is easy for one’s mind to wander.

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you
proclaim the Lord's death till He comes. ~ 1st Corinthians 11:26

Often infers frequency.

Some define frequency as:

● Every Day
● Once a Year
● Every 3 Months
● Twice a Year ~ Xmas / Easter

Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples
came together to break bread, ... ~ Acts 20:6-11

They gathered on the first day of the week to remember Christ.

1st Day of the week ≠ The New Christian Sabbath

... Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall
according to the same example of disobedience. ~ Hebrews 4:9-11

Christ is now our Sabbath; our rest is in Him.

And He said to them, "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."
~ Luke 6:5

... looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, ... ~ Hebrews 12:2

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy." ~ Exodus 20:8
└─> It does not say remember every Sabbath (Saturday).

We come together to remember Him.
~ To proclaim Him until He comes and or we kneel before Him.

┌─> Repent.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread
and drink of the cup. ~ 1st Corinthians 11:28

For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks
judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. ~ 1st Corinthians 11:29

Do we actually share our hearts with God?

But do not forget to do good and to share,
for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. ~ Hebrews 13:16

To remember His Body is to find salvation.

We know that we have passed from death to life,
because we love the brethren. ... ~ 1st John 3:14

Unity.
Look within.
~ Take pause for Christ.
It was divine sacrifice that gave us this.

We are healed when we rise to Him.
