Darkness howls for it has none.
Hope for a better future is held in the heart of innocence.

37. Richard Nixon (1969-1974)

“Life isn't meant to be easy. It's hard to take being on the top -
or on the bottom. I guess I'm something of a fatalist. You have to
have a sense of history, I think, to survive some of these things ...
Life is one crisis after another.”

while socialism sounds better than it works.”

“The Soviet Union began by banishing God. The United States began
as a community of people who wanted to worship God as they chose. ...
Man does not live by bread alone. Those in the United States whose
desire to create a strictly secular society is as strong as Lenin's was
should study this Cold War lesson closely. Communism was defeated
by an alliance spearheaded by 'one nation under God.'”

But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not
live by bread alone, but by every word of God.' " ~ Luke 4:4

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. ~ Galatians 6:2

“As you know, the separation of church and state is not subject

of his choice or choose to go to no church at all.”

Jesus this song you wrote, The words are sticking in my throat,
Peace on Earth, Hear it every Christmas time, But hope and history

"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did

“When the strongest nation in the world can be tied up for years in a war
with no end in sight, when the richest nation in the world can't manage its
own economy, when the nation with the greatest tradition of the rule of law
is plagued by unprecedented lawlessness, and when the President of the
United States cannot travel abroad or to any major city at home without
fear of a hostile demonstration - then it's time for new leadership for the
United States of America.”

but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man."
~ Mark 7:15

“The student who invades an administration building, roughs up a dean,
rifles the files and issues 'non-negotiable demands' may have some
of his demands met by a permissive university administration.
But the greater his 'victory' the more he will have
undermined the security of his own rights.”

have a cause to defend, you can use any means to further your cause,
since the end justifies the means. As an international community, we
must oppose this notion, whether it be in Canada, in the United
States, or anywhere else. No cause justifies violence as long
as the system provides for change by peaceful means.”

“A man who has never lost himself in a cause bigger than himself has
missed one of life's mountaintop experiences. Only in losing himself does
he find himself. Only then does he discover all the latent strengths he
never knew he had and which otherwise would have remained dormant.”

“Until he has been part of a cause larger
than himself, no man is truly whole.”

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it." ~ Mark 8:35

“To a crisis of the spirit, we need an answer of the spirit.
To find that answer, we need only look within ourselves. When we listen
to the better angels of our nature, we find that they celebrate the simple
things, the basic things--such as goodness, decency, love, kindness.
Greatness comes in simple trappings.”

One cannot enjoy what one does not have
  Look within our spirit

tell it like it is, to find the truth, to speak the truth, and to live the truth.”

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." ~ John 8:32

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us,
who can be against us? ~ Romans 8:31

“There may be some truth in that if the Arabs have some complaints
about my policy towards Israel, they have to realize that the Jews in the
U.S. control the entire information and propaganda machine, the large
newspapers, the motion pictures, radio and television, and the big
companies, and there is a force that we have to take into consideration.”

“I don't mind the homosexuality. I understand it. Nevertheless, goddamn,
I don't think you glorify it on public television, homosexuality, even more
than you glorify whores. We all know we have weaknesses. But,
goddammit, what do you think that does to kids? You know what
happened to the Greeks! Homosexuality destroyed them. Sure,
Aristotle was a homo. We all know that. So was Socrates.”

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, ... ~ 1st Corinthians 6:9-10

God, of course, is the greatest philosopher of all.

How easy it is to be deceived. Men regarded as highly intelligent
may be misguided, for lack of understanding and focused
devotion - to absolute truth. Philosophy is the study of truth. God
is not a philosopher as He is the creator of all, including all truth.
Shame on all who simplify and or trivialize the majesty of God.

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you
are complete in Him, who is the head ... ~ Colossians 2:9-10

and, what God watches and genuinely waits for.

Like a bird that wanders from its nest Is a man who wanders from his place.

mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. ~ Jude 1:16

“I have never been a quitter. To leave office before my term is
completed is opposed to every instinct in my body. But as president
I must put the interests of America first Therefore, I shall
resign the presidency effective at noon tomorrow.”

“I let the American people down, and I have to carry that burden
for the rest of my life. My political life is over. I will never again
have an opportunity to serve in any official position. Maybe
I can give a little advice from time to time.”

“My own view is that taping of conversations for historical purposes
was a bad decision on the part of all the presidents. I don't think
Kennedy should have done it. I don't think Johnson should
have done it, and I don't think we should have done it.”

“No president in history has been more vilified or was more vilified during
the time he was President than Lincoln. Those who knew him, his
secretaries, have written that he was deeply hurt by what was said about
him and drawn about him, but on the other hand, Lincoln had the great
strength of character never to display it, always able to stand tall and
strong and firm no matter how harsh or unfair the criticism might be.
These elements of greatness, of course, inspire us all today.”

... knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and
perseverance, character; and character, hope. ~ Romans 5:3-4

Endurance is insight into our nature of spiritual revival

              Perseverance

Tribulations

“Defeat doesn't finish a man, quit does. A man is not
finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits.”

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God,
you may receive the promise: ... ~ Hebrews 10:36

“Never let your head hang down. Never give up and sit down and grieve.
Find another way. And don't pray when it rains
if you don't pray when the sun shines.”

When we encounter tough times, endurance can be on the edge
of panic. Hearts beat and nerves stretch. It is incredible that during
these stressful times our greatest character traits either shine or
pale under the strain. With vision strength is established with control
where those without much knowledge crumble at the first whine.
Tested to reveal mettle, it is no wonder we are made to reflect
a higher essence in His light where He waits.

“You must never give up. You must remember that you have to take
risks in order to achieve anything and sometimes you will suffer defeat.

destroy and where thieves break in and steal; ..." ~ Matthew 6:19-21

“If we succeed, it will not be because of what we have,
but it will be because of what we are; not because of what we own,
but, rather because of what we believe.”

History proves out that humanity has always been led by those
ruling from the shadows whether seen or not. If our character
is hopelessness, those that oppress us have won the battle in
defeating the minds of all that would be free. Trapped as ignorance
is consumed monumentally as truth’s candy; darkness is its’ color.
Opinion guides the blind where reflections of reality are the shadows
of all our troubles, real or imagined. A higher sight rises where the
clouds lift us in to His presence. If our hearts find faith exalted above
our heavy loads, a glimpse of freedom’s sweet taste remains.
Rejoice for all that treasure this timelessness.

... And how does a wise man die? As the fool! ~ Ecclesiastes 2:16

For in death there is no remembrance of You;

Wars among men are fought for greed, not for God
Schizophrenia is symptomatic of insecure paranoids
Fools speak what wisdom does not declare
God is more than man can explain
Endurance is the character of greatness
Hate is murder of the self

Freedom comes to those who truly believe.

Genuine magnificence comes with no tricks

Darkness has an insidious silence.
