3/20/2005 ~ To Glory in the Cross of Christ

~ Not what man has done.
~ What GOD Has done.

We need to make the focus Christ and not cultural differences.

... who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, ...

... "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree" ... ~ Galatians 3:13-16

... they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, ...
~ Philippians 3:17-19

→ How can your enemy be a stick of wood?
~ It is what the cross represents; Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.
The purpose of God was to show all the powers of God.

Cutting from this world.
We need to glorify Christ over anything we have done or do.

... purifying their hearts by faith. ~ Acts 15:9

... "The just shall live by faith." ~ Romans 1:16-17

Circumcision of faith.
We need to pay special attention to our fellow Christians.

... created in Christ Jesus for good works, ... ~ Ephesians 2:10

We need to check out Christ and Look at Him.

... if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ ...
~ 1st John 2:1-2

... that we should be holy and without blame before Him in Love, ...
~ Ephesians 1:3-4

                        /Our worship.
                       /Our obedience.
CHRIST ~ Deserves
     \__ Of Him I am well pleased.
          (Matthew 3:17), (Matthew 17:5)

... confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
~ Philippians 2:9-11

Base our eternity on Him.
To fulfill the meaning of our souls.

... the Lord has called each one, ... ~ 1st Corinthians 7:17

"... Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?"
~ Luke 2:49

... Who will deliver me from this body of death? ~ Romans 7:24

Our example is pointing people to Christ.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; ...
~ 2nd Corinthians 5:17

No favorite preacher but Christ.

... lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
~ 1st Corinthians 1:14-17

... serving the Lord with all humility, ... ~ Acts 20:17-20

... to declare to you the whole counsel of God. ~ Acts 20:26-27

If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, ...
~ 1st Corinthians 14:37

... If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. ~ Acts 15:29
                 └─> Teach the word of Christ.

~ Not to occupy yourselves in idle worship.

... gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.
~ 1st Timothy 5:13

We can be brand new everyday in Christ,
~ proving our dedication, → morality.

We need to reflect God’s image and not our own.
Our identity should be that we reflect Christ.

Do you Glory in the CROSS of Christ?
It is what gives us our confidence.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, ... ~ 1st John 5:14

Christ is for all and this is His glory.
